Buying my first custom PC experience.

So as the title explains, I bought my first custom build PC from a store and I'm going to tell you of my experience what little experience it has been.

On Friday 21st December 2012, I purchased a reasonable Custom PC. At the price I was willing to pay for a PC. Upon getting home I installed windows updates and a few games had to download from steam, so I went to bed as I woke up 5 hours later and tried playing the games this is where the fun begins.

I start to get BSOD "0x0000003B"  to be exact. I got 8 screens during the night, and just to top it off I also got a Overheat Shut Down. So I take the computer back up to the shop 9:30am on the 22nd December 2012 it not even being 24 hours old. From which he repaired the computer and I took it home again at 1:58pm same day.

Then another issue beings, the CPU goes on fire! not literally but the temp. is hitting 69-72 oC for no reason just earlier that day doing the same processes it was sitting at steady 55 oC. So I call the store telling them and they say bring it in on Monday as they are shut on Sunday's and they will install a bigger fan for £10.  Then it overheats just as he calls back not allowing me to do anything to stop it from being so high temp. from 3:25pm on the 22nd December 2012 I have had a computer that has overheated and WILL NOT TURN BACK ON. regardless of how cold the room is so now tomorrow will seal the fate of the computer!

So we will soon see if I am forced to use my " Consumer Rights " to get a refund or a full repair without costing me more money.

lets actually add up what I've spent.

£430 for the Initial System
£25 Taxi Fares for transporting the system to and from the store.
£10 for Bigger Fan.

Total of :- £465 < That is all I am paying! NO MORE.

As this being my first experience, buying a custom built PC this will go down as the worst experience I have had undergoing the persistent AGGRO this machine has caused me.

Christmas Spirit

What is Christmas to you?
A time to give presents?
A time to be with family and friends?
A time to get drunk and party?

Well I found a prime example of Christmas Spirit which I think comes down to friends and family coming together every year and enjoying the festive season with each other. You also find the definition of true friendship when you have been friends for over 5 DECADES!

Above you see my grandmother and her bestfriend which have been friends since 1952, and they are still celebrating Christmas in 2012 regardless of up's and down's they have had and continue to stay close. You start to see the true Christmas spirit when your in the company of these two.

They bring  two families together when it's the festive season, bring cheer and joy to the household which hosts the Christmas Dinner and Party Celebration's. Of course there is benefits to everyone when this happens you know, more presents well..... for the younger generations anyway. I created this post mainly to share the friendship of two auld grannies who never give up on each other and how it impacts on everyone at christmas, also to share some pictures!

I'm sure this isn't going to be my last post before Christmas, but I hope everyone has a wonderful festive season. I hope you enjoy this post and pictures thanks for reading.

New Camera and Why?

So, I currently have in my possession the fantastic beginner/enthusiast camera Nikon Coolpix L120. Which has to be the best camera I have ever had, Saying that it was the first expensive camera I ever got my hands onto, it is the reason why I got into my photography hobby. Would I recommend it to anyone....Yes, I would it has excellent Picture Quality which sits at 14.1 mega pixel, along with 21x Optical Zoom! There is also an additional 4x Digital Zoom but it isn't worth using. It has good video quality along with 720p HD Video Recording, And the amount of settings can make your brain sore just from thinking about it.

It is perfect for, almost all of your needs if you want an affordable and quality device which isn't an SLR. Now you may ask if it's so good why get a new camera? Well as I am taking my photography skills further and improving I increase my knowledge and look to take more pictures from distances and clarity and perks.

for example if I want a nice detailed picture of the moon, 21x Optical Zoom from my present location isn't superb. and the fact that the Nikon Coolpix L120 doesn't have a pathfinder/viewer you have to rely on the display screen to take your picture.

Nikon Coolpix L120

I have found another affordable Bridge Camera which is also an reliable make and sure to have excellent quality with the capabilities to take the pictures I wish to move on to. It is the Fuji S4530 which is only a 14.1 mega pixel camera but that doesn't effect the quality I have tested it and I find the camera just as comfortable to use with all the bonuses I am looking for. It has the Path Finder/ Viewer and an Additional 9x Optical Zoom which takes amazing pictures of the moon, So that makes the Fuji S4530 an 30x Optical Zoom it shares the same video quality and sound as the Nikon Coolpix L120. So no change there, but a lovely 24-6720mm wide-angle lens. I don't know what else to say other than what I have, I highly recommend both cameras for affordability and quality it just depends what your using them for.

One Horned Indian Rhino

Edinburgh Zoo, Scotland. Holds within its open doors, a great eye catcher of a creatures which is called the One Horned Indian Rhino. Today I will share with you some of the pictures which were taken to show off this Powerful Creature.

This is the second Rhino I have ever had the pleasure of viewing, they have very textured skin along with the most power I've seen before when they ram into there toy's and that's just them playing! I would not like to be caught between two of them.

This picture show's off the extremely textured skin which is clearly visible. You can almost feel how tough it is just by looking at it, along with the detailed single horn and the light hair visible on the ear's.

But even Rhino's barks are worse than there bite, see what I did there. This picture shows how they will eat or chew on most thing's just so happened to be today it was Tree Bark.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures, please feel free to comment or share them.

Gentoo Penguin

The Gentoo Penguin's, Which are captive within the Edinburgh Zoo, Scotland. I made a day of it and took various picture's of the penguin's for public viewing and use.

As you can see the Gentoo Penguin aren't penguins you can mess with, they have some of the Glasgow stances about them. The term " Square go " comes to mind.

When there not, wanting to fight and just standing about they decide to take the Zombie approach to life. Mindless staring and thoughts of Mass Destruction.

Then when all else fails they take to diving, nothing beat the water when it comes to penguins. Maybe snow but Water is just as good. this caption is clear concentration that a penguin holds when going for the leap of faith.

I hope you enjoyed, these pictures of the Captive Gentoo Penguins and please feel free to comment or share them with your friends.
